Our church interior and grounds have been beautifully maintained and offer a beautiful setting for weddings, funerals and memorial services, community events or meetings, and concerts needing a midtown location.
We offer wedding packages with services offered in the large Sanctuary which accommodates up to 550, including its balcony; the Chapel which will accommodate up to 90 persons; or the Library that will accommodate a small group of up to 20. Each package includes all fees (pastor, organist, wedding coordinator, rehearsal time, space, ceremony) connected with the use of the various spaces. The couple would be married by a Methodist minister.
Funeral Or Memorial Services
Funeral or Memorial Services for members and non-members can also be arranged through the church office (916-446-5025). There is a fee for the pastor, organist and space used. The pastor meets with the family to arrange a special and meaningful service and the church staff coordinates the needs of the family with regard to set-up. Reception space is also available for those wishing to offer light refreshments and a time to visit with the family after the serices.
Facilities For Use By Organizations
Many non-profit organizations use the facilities for meetings and conference type events. There are a number of well-maintained rooms which can be rented during the day or evening by non-profit groups and other community organizations depending on availability. Arrangements for space, its set-up, and security are arranged through the church office (916-446-5025). Fees are attached to each room and are collected in full two-weeks prior to the event.
Several concerts and other activities are held each year at FUMC to benefit a number of charities and organizations, including the Sacramento Gay Men’s Chorus, Make-A-Wish-Foundation, Heifer project, Habitat for Humanity, and the Central Downtown Food Closet.
