What led to C. S. Lewis becoming the most widely-read and influential Christian writer of the Twentieth Century?
In an attempt to answer this question, our new study group will read and discuss Lewis’s autobiography, Surprised by Joy ; then we will view the movie Shadowlands, which tells the story of Lewis’s marriage to Joy Gresham; finally, we will read A Grief Observed, which presents with searing honesty the grieving process Lewis endured after his wife’s death.
Our group will meet at ten on Wednesday mornings for six weeks: September 20 and 27, and October 4, 11, 18, and 25. We will meet in the Conference Room 206.
