What We Believe:
First United Methodist Church of Sacramento is called to the ministry of reconciliation. We affirm that all people are created in the image of God.
We celebrate our human family’s diversity of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, national origin, age, faith history, economic status, marital status, education, and physical and mental ability. We welcome all as beloved children of God.
What is Methodism?
United Methodists tend to be moderate, rather than fundamentalists or literalists. We look to the Bible first to find God’s word for us, but we also find God speaking through the tradition of the Christian Church, as well as our own ability to think and to experience God for ourselves.
We are driven by a passion for social justice and community involvement.
