Message from Karla Lundin, First UMC's Director of Youth and Children's Ministries

We have had a very busy 2011 summer! 

We sent two groups of youth to Sierra Service Project. Nine High School Youth and two adults went to Coarsegold, CA to the Picayune Rancheria to work on building projects for the Chukchansi Tribe.  The following week, we sent nine Jr. High Youth and two adults to make repairs on the Susanville Rancheria, Susanville, CA. Both were a fabulous, fun, spiritual experience for all!

And we had a dozen youth attend Youth 2011 this year!  This United Methodist Youth Event happens only every four years and this year it was held in Sacramento for the first time. It was an incredible event for the youth with bands, speakers, small groups, workshops, etc.

God is good... all the time!  All the time.... God is good!
