Women of all ages are welcome to participate. We have something for everyone!
The United Methodist Women is community of women whose purpose is threefold. To know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ. To develop a creative supportive fellowship. To expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
At FUMC Sacramento, we have an active chapter of approximately one hundred women. We engage in fellowship with one another as well as continue our mission of support, education and service to the local church, to the larger community, and to world beyond.
The entire organization meets for monthly general meetings, usually for an educational program and a meal. In addition, many of our members meet in regular intervals in small groups that we call “Circles.”
For upcoming UMW events, please read the information below. You can also read the FUMC Blog and the church newsletter called The Visitor.
Desserts, tea and coffee will be served and a service project opportunity will be available to prepare “blessing bags” full of basic necessities that will support WIND Youth Services of Sacramento. We will be taking donations of socks, underwear, sunscreen, lip balm and toiletries. Please see the church office for details on where to donate!
