We have a Faith Community Nurse who is responsible for this congregation's healing and health ministry. Our Faith Community Nurse, Patricia Weedon, is educated and had a career as a Public Health Nurse before joining the First Church staff. She combines a deep compassion, knowledge of the human body, and an understanding of mind/body/spirit connections to help people toward better health.

Patricia is available to help members translate "medicalese" into understandable lay language, and to help with life and living transitions related to health conditions. She also leads seminars and classes on matters of health and wholeness, conveying both God’s and the congregation's concern and encouragement to individuals who are going through difficult experiences of illness or injury.
