Staging A Miracle Mission and VisionVision Statement: Staging a Miracle is a beacon of hope and opportunity enriching underserved families of Sacramento by offering a quality arts experience to enable and inspire each individual to lead a successful life of choice, purpose and service. Mission Statement: Staging A Miracle, a program of the First United Methodist Church of Sacramento, brings our diverse church community and economically disadvantaged/underserved families of Sacramento together in a safe and nurturing environment to support the creative gifts and well being of our children and youth. In collaboration with community artists and art organizations, Staging A Miracle helps participants discover and develop their talents in music, dance, drama, writing and visual arts. Goals: Goals supporting this mission are listed below: Goal #1: To be a significant Sacramento cultural and social services asset. Goal #2: To showcase original works of art created by participants of SAM. Goal #3: To encourage and develop the participants’ talents and character to the maximum extent possible. Goal #4: To develop a sense of support and community for the families by providing meals, transportation, and other support. Goal #5: To encourage the full participation and support of the First United Methodist Church of Sacramento. Goal #6: To develop a base of volunteers who will help support Staging A Miracle. Goal #7: To work towards a long-term goal of providing a year-round quality arts experience for families living in poverty. |
