The MOMS group is facilitating an effort to supply the new
rehabbed second floor kitchen. The kitchen between
the Conference Room (Room 206) and the Youth LOFT (Room 207) has
been updated and will now be a shared facility with the new
preschool.
The primary users will be our youth as the pass-through overlooks
their meeting room. BUT there is no equipment in the room.

As Caring Connection Children’s Center prepares to open in our
preschool space, the Trustees has approved a project to improve

April 1, 2014 at 5am, First United
Methodist Church at 21st & J in Midtown Sacramento
will host the first-of-its-kind artistic extravaganza all
about John Wesley, the 18th century English theologian
who started a movement in Christianity that is now known as the
United Methodist Church.
The play, called “John Wesley: He Wrote a Lot!”
will be twelve fun-filled hours of artistic reenactments about
the first 1/3 of John Wesley’s life.**

On Saturday, April 6th, 2013, from 1-5
p.m., Staging A Miracle will take partake in the
Sacramento Artists Council, Beer and Chili Festival. SAM will be
providing childcare and art for children, while parents enjoy the
Festival. In addition, SAM will have a booth in the event with
more information on our program and ways to get involved. This
will be fun event for all. If you’d like to help out with

Bishop Melvin Talbert will be a speaker on
Friday, May 3rd, at 7:30pm, for a special Moon Lecture at St.
Mark’s UMC. All lectures last approximately one hour, with
a twenty-minute Q&A to follow.
The Fellowship of United Methodists in Music and Worship Arts
(FUMMWA) will sponsor an event an event called “Put a
‘Spring’ in Your Worship” on Saturday, April 20, from
8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Golf has been called many things but many agree that there is a
spiritual element to the game. “Holy In One” is a small group
forming to bring fellowship, spiritual discussion and golf tees
together. Over the course of the year, we may also explore the
book Golf and The Spirit by M. Scott Peck (available on Amazon
for $12).
The group held its first round of nine holes today at Land Park
Golf Course. It was a great success! Next round is April
27.
All ages and ability levels are welcome. In order to reserve tee
times, you must RSVP.
