Staging a Miracle (SAM) is a First United Methodist Church program developed to offer high-quality music and arts education to the children of the City of Sacramento, regardless of their ability to pay.
This Saturday, May 11th, from 5:30 – 8:00 pm, we will be
participating in the Second Saturday Art Walk. We are
hoping to reach out to the community in order to let more people
know about SAM. Our goal is get more participants,
volunteers, and/or artists involved with Staging a Miracle.

Hello Everyone! Weather’s been nice, the birds are out, and
nature is blooming; and amidst all the beautiful things happening
around us a VERY BEAUTIFUL thing has just happened in Staging A
Miracle. Last Saturday April 20th, the first SAM fieldtrip was
held. In total we had about 30 kids and 20 volunteers who
participated and we really did have a lot of fun.

On Saturday, April 6th, 2013, from 1-5
p.m., Staging A Miracle will take partake in the
Sacramento Artists Council, Beer and Chili Festival. SAM will be
providing childcare and art for children, while parents enjoy the
Festival. In addition, SAM will have a booth in the event with
more information on our program and ways to get involved. This
will be fun event for all. If you’d like to help out with

After ending our first session of 2013 on a great note
anticipation for the next session has been building, but I do
have some bitter sweet news. After much consideration and due to
the fact that we have a lot work in store for the Summer SAM
Session, we have decided to cancel our previously scheduled
spring session. However, on the sweet side of things, SAM has
decided to participate in additional community events that
require a significant amount of time and energy. We’d love for
you all to come and participate in these wonderful events with
us.

Hi Everyone!
Staging a Miracle (SAM) has started up again as of Saturday
January 12. We have a good group of about 30 kids for this first
session, and things are going along just great! Some of the
amazing classes offered include: tap dance (which, might I add,
was a great hit last session!) photography, vocals, etc. The
theme this year is Gratitude: The Art of Giving Thanks, and we
have some great things in store for our summer performance. I
hope that you are all excited as we are!
